If your Pod seems DOA

TL;DR: My kit appears to have shipped with a dead battery in the Pod. If no LEDs light on the Pod, put a new battery in and if it blinks to life, follow the (re)pairing process to get set up.

Long version…

On receipt there was no sign of life from my Pod:

  • no LEDs lit
  • no response from the motor unit

OG state that the two units are supplied ‘pre paired’ but that ‘accidental unpairing’ can be caused if - while button-bashing like a gibbon to try to get something to happen for example - you hold the control button on the motor for 10s and do a full reset… without actually then holding the (hidden) button on the Pod for 6s to pair it…

Even if/when you know about the reset/re-pairing process, it won’t work if the Pod’s battery is dead, so if you see no signs of life from the Pod - try putting a new battery in, it’ll likely start blinking into life and you can pair it using the correct process.

I had a dead battery too, no lights.

But when I open the pod I found the connector is falling off, maybe not connected perfect.

I had to resolder the connector to run the system, hopefully it will fit.

If not the system will be unuseful.

Is there is a posibility to replace it.

Cheers

I had the very same issue.

The black cover on the top is just glued with silicon glue so you can carefully remove it, under there there are a couple of screws. When you have the board out of the case, I managed to solder it back with a hot air gun and this solder paste Amazon.com

It has been working for me so far. They told me that they were sending me a replacement but all of a sudden they stopped responding to my messages.
